The new SOCKS Proxy Support in the MDS Login Dialog permits access to Professional via SOCKS Protocol.

Clients behind a firewall wanting to access exterior servers connect to a SOCKS proxy server. This proxy server controls the eligibility of the client to access the external server and passes the request on to the server.

New Indicators

In Version 6.1.0 offers a series of new Indicators:

Fisher Transform (FT) (Developer: John Ehlers)

This indicator is based on the assumption that prices don't have a Gaussian probability density and when the trend changes the indicator reverses very sharply. This indicator can be very useful for pinpointing entries for short-term trades. When the FT crosses above the signal line from below, itÂ’s a bullish signal and itÂ’s time to buy. When FT crosses bellow the signal line from above, itÂ’s a bearish signal and itÂ’s time to sell.

Polarized Fractal Efficiency (PFE) (Developer: Hans Hannula)
The PFE was invented to determine price efficiency over a period of time, and itÂ’s fluctuating between -100 and +100.

A positive PFE value mean that the trend is up and a negative PFE value mean that the trend is down. The further the PFE value is away from zero, the stronger and more efficient the given trend is.  If the PFE value is fluctuating around 0, it means that there is a balance between the supply and the demand.

New Moving Average Indicators
A moving average (MAV) is generally used for trend identification. Attention is given to the direction in which the average is moving and to the relative position of prices and the MAV. Rising Moving Average values (direction) and prices above the moving average (position) would indicate an uptrend. Declining Moving Average values and prices below the moving average would indicate a downtrend.

Hull Moving Average (HMA) (Developer: Alan Hull)
This indicator is a very fast Moving Average and in fact it almost eliminates lag altogether and is also improving the smoothing at the same time.

KaufmannÂ’s Adapting Moving Average (KAMA) (Developer: Perry Kaufmann)
The KAMA is automatically adapted to the volatility of the market. It uses the noise level of the market to calculate the length of the trend required to determine the average.

Fractal Adaptive Moving Average (FRAMA) (Developer: John Ehlers)
Based on the assumption that market prices are fractal, this indicator presents a new method of adaptive smoothing. The purpose of this indicator is to eliminate bad whipsaw trades.

Variable Index Dynamic Average (VIDYA) (Developer: Tushar Chande und Stanley Kroll)
This VIDYA dynamically adjust the alpha of an exponential moving average according the ratio of the Standard Deviation of close prices over a period of time to the Standard Deviation of close prices over a longer period of time.
