You can open this page any time by selecting Quick Intorduction within the Help menu. To open the last workspace you have used please go to the File menu and select it from the list of the recently used workspaces.

Version 6.0 brings you a lot of new features as well as improvements of existing functionalities. The major changes are:

• Free floating (“detached”) windows. Especially when using a multi monitor system this is a plus. Use Ctrl+D to detach any window, or use File -> New Professional to create a new Professional window.
• Integration of fundamental data into price pages, add any fundamental data field available same like the already existing fields. The fundamental data must be enabled for each user which will be done in the next days.
• Linked charts now also link to the drawing tools which were applied to a security and automatically shows/hides them when moving through symbols.
• Improved connection to the data server, in case one of our servers switches to the backup system, no re-connect is done anymore, but the affected symbols are reloaded automatically.

• All drawing tools now show the vertical and horizontal position of the mouse pointer during drawing.
• The text tool now allows using up to nine arrows.
• The Ctrl key is from now on used for copying objects instead of the Shift key.

• Linked charts now also link to the drawing tools which were applied to a security and automatically shows/hides them when moving through symbols.
• The zoom, the position within the chart and the scale settings are now saved to workspaces and chart document files. This allows to save and restore the exact same chart visual representation of a chart.
• The settings dialog now offers an Apply button which applies any change which was done immediately.
• For saving charts as picture file there are new formats available: JPG, GIF, TIFF and PNG. The new Shortcut Ctrl+G start the saving as picture.
• The new function Save all Charts which can be found in the File menu (or started by using Ctrl+Y) makes it possible to save all charts within a workspace at the same time. They are saved as document and/or picture files, which can be used for web site and newsletter authoring. This functionality must be enabled first using the menu, selecting Tools → Options... → Chart → Saving.
• When saving charts a transparent watermark can be added. This needs to be configured in the menu by selecting Tools → Options... → Chart → Watermark.
• The initial size of chart documents can be set to a fixed size. Use the menu selecting Tools → Options... → Chart Document Defaults to do this. There you can also reset all chart windows to a specified size.

• Window → Copy Window creates an exact (and independent) copy of an existing document window.
• You can now move a complete virtual page to a different position by using Window → Set Virtual Page Layout as.
• By using the shortcut Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2 to Ctrl+0 you can directly switch to the virtual page 1 to 10.
• The number of sheets in charts and price pages has been increased from 5 to 10.

• Integration of fundamental data into price pages, add any fundamental data field available same like the already existing fields. Additionally, fields are now shown in a tree structure which allows grouping (which can be turned off as well). The fundamental data must be enabled for each user which will be done in the next days.
• The GraphBar field, a graphical representation of the percent change, can now also be displayed in the Watch List and Market Depth documents.
• Removing a displayed column the Price Page Properties dialog can be done by pressing the Delete key.
• The news search can be started from a security within each document, but in case of a multi selection it is not available.

• In case a tool (e.g. an indicator) is inserted using the context menu and by right clicking a security (or an already existing indicator), then this time series will automatically be selected as the basis of the new indicator.

• „DSS Bressert” was changed in a way that now alerts can be inserted using it.
• „Ulcer Index” indicator was added.
• „Volume Line” indicator was added. This indicator represents the volume, but an additional line is drawn connecting the maximum of the volumes.
• The „Center of Gravity Oscillator” indicator was added.
• The “Aroon Oscillator” was corrected and the „Aroon“ was added.

• The internal house keeping of time series data has been strongly improved.

• New information bar (press F11 for showing and hiding it), which now shows connection data but later will be used for other status information as well.
• DDE: the history request now also supports text format. Sample how to use DDE in OpenOffice was added.
• Default actions for alerts are now set to “Notification” and “Sound”. To change the default actions, open the Alerts window (F6), right click and select Set Default ActionsÂ…
• The workspace was changed in a way that it now consists out of one file with the extension .WKS. The former used .WKX file is not used anymore (but will not automatically be deleted). Workspaces saved with Professional 6.x cannot be opened with older versions.
• The symbols shown in FastLook are not connected with the market data server anymore, which reduces the number of (initially) subscribed symbols to zero.
• The default document templates were changed, the new style uses light colored fonts on black background.
• When opening Professional for the first time after installing or upgrading it, a web window with release specific information and a quick introduction is shown. You can later open this window again by selecting Help → Quick Introduction from the menu.
• When installing an upgrade to an already existing Professional installation, document templates will not be overwritten anymore. When upgrading from 5.x versions you will be asked if Professional should overwrite existing templates with new ones.
• 25 larger and 50 smaller bugs were fixed.
