Improved order dialog with simplified and extended version

The order dialog has been improved, and now is available in a simplified and an extended version.

The simplified version of the order dialog supports the basic placing of an order. It only shows the fields that are relevant to the chosen order type.

In the extended version of the order dialog, you have access to more information about the symbol that you are trading (section Security, with current Last / Bid / Ask price, if available in your subscription), and can use some more features, like choosing a separate cash account or saving an order for later instead of sending it now.

You can switch between the two versions of the order dialog with the link Show more / Show less.

By default, the simplified version of the order dialog is displayed when placing a new order. In a new option in the Trading Settings (available under Trade > Settings), you can also choose to Always show the extended order dialog.

Show position at its actual price or at the edge of the chart

You can show your positions and working orders on the chart of the traded security as a so-called trade tool. When you have chosen to display trades in charts, trade tools are automatically added to the corresponding charts for all current positions and working orders. Since sometimes a position or working order can be at a distance to the current price, especially in Intraday charts, you now have the option to display the trade tool at the actual price (and thus include it in the automatic scaling of the chart), or to display the trade tool at the top or bottom of the chart, if it is very far from the actual price.

This new option Consider trades in automatic scaling can be enabled or disabled on the Trade menu.

Resolved Issues

The following bugs have been fixed:

▫       When connecting to RTD, deactivating the option Use Windows HTTP proxy setting had no effect

▫       Several fields had display issues when called up via RTD

▫       There was a problem with the application crashing after opening news from a pop-up alert, and after opening some specific news stories

▫       There was a problem with the application freezing after using the Tools > Options dialog, when in the Windows Regional Settings the thousands separator sign was set to empty

Minimum System Requirements

PC with 1,66 GHz or higher

Operating System

Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 (recommended), Windows Vista

All operating systems need MS .NET framework, the most recent service packs and the component MSXML 6.0. Some functionalities of TeleTrader WorkStation need components from Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 (or higher).

1 GB

We recommend at least 2 GB for large time series or a high number of charts and time and sales documents.

Free Disk Space

ca. 85 MB of free hard drive space for a complete installation

Internet Connection

Persistent Internet connection with a recommended bandwidth of at least 64 kbps

Ports 80 and 2088 (TCP) need to be open for TCP/IP traffic to the market data server (allowing HTTP traffic is not sufficient). Personal firewalls have to be set up to allow traffic for TeleTrader WorkStation.
